Pizza and a Movie

Friday night is pizza and a movie night in the Waldman house. We usually watch a "movie on demand" or something in Jacob's collection. Lately we've been watching movies that we've seen a hundred times, because we want something that is appropriate for Jacob and still entertaining for us. Tonight we stumbled across Disney's "The Absent-Minded Professor" (circa 1961). What fun it was to watch a movie and not have to worry about foul language or sexual innuendo. Jacob belly- laughed for most of the movie and of course this made Jim and I laugh, too. We also saw "Flubber" in the listings and Jacob would like to see how that compares to the original version. I doubt it will be as wholesome, but maybe we'll give it try next Friday.

Needless to say...

...Jim and Jacob are very excited about this year's Super Bowl. There's nothing quite like living in Texas and wearing Steelers shirts and hats and having your team in the big game. Jacob wore something Steelers to school for the last three days. He's keeping his #7 shirt for game day. He's been proudly wearing his Steelers hat, that Aunt Nancy got for him this past summer, everywhere we go. Not surprisingly, he gets a lot comments from Cowboys fans, but to his delight he has also been given thumbs up by several Steelers fans. The Steeler Nation is represented well here in the hill country of Texas. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that they win!

The beginning...

After reading a friend's blog site, I concluded this would be a great way for me to keep my family and friends updated on our new life here in Texas and to provide me an outlet for creativity. I doubt that I will ever tackle any deep and thought provoking issues, but you just never know. Mainly, I just want to share what is going on here and who knows, it could be entertaining!
